Hunters Gold

Hunter’s Gold tells the age old story of love, betrayal, greed and death. Mike Hunter’s journey through life is as aimless as it amoral. Whenever a door opens, Hunter walks through and takes whatever he sees.

From a destructive family life caused by a drunken father, Hunter joins the army, fights in Vietnam, is wounded and recuperates in Australia. Returning to his native home he then finds himself on his way to gold-rich Dubai in its hey day. Hunter’s life has more twists and turns than a corkscrew and when it pulls the cork out of its bottle a fateful genie appears.

Lured into a love of an Indian girl, Hunter gets a taste of gold in his blood. Another door in his life opens and Hunter steps to his fate.

Set in the backdrop of Dubai in the 70’s when the gold shops were overflowing with glittery jewellery, Hunter’s story is a life of passion, violence and ultimately his just reward.
